Carolyn Falkenberg began work at the AARBF in July of 2008 after earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. Her undergraduate education included research on PTSD and advanced Spanish language courses. During this time, she completed an internship at a Behavioral Center working to benefit people with chronic mental illness through group counseling on symptom management, effective communication and social-behavioral skills. Prior to joining AARBF, she volunteered as an educational docent and to provide food to families in need.
As the Northern California Survivor Services Coordinator, Carolyn organizes events for children and adult burn survivors and their families. She also facilitates a group support meetings for survivors and their families at the Bothin Burn Center at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco.
