Hours, Priceless Work
It
takes a lot of people with a lot of love to make Champ Camp great.
In fact, it takes 16 waterslide volunteers, 23 bus chaperones, 4
medical staff, 15 program staff and 66 counselors many thousands
of hours to make it great. The common bond among them is that every
volunteer wants campers to have a fun week, and each one gets joy
out of their involvement.
"I love
camp," says Karen "Smiley" Miller, Camp's activities
scheduler. "It's hard to quantify why, but I love seeing the
kids get new experiences. I get a lot out of seeing them accept
challenges and succeed far more than they thought they could."

in Safety Education Teaches Families Via Students

arrived we could see flames from two blocks down the street,"
